“We are a development-oriented bank focusing on financing agricultural producers and SMEs. We disburse loans to farmers and businesses working in agriculture, and we are the partner of more than 11,000 farms across the country. Lending to the agricultural sector is one of our main business priorities, which is why we aim to get closer to the direct beneficiaries of the services we provide", said Andreea Enache, Business Clients Division Director.

Between 2002 and 2012, ProCredit Bank disbursed over 45,000 agricultural loans amounting to over EUR 230 million to farmers and companies specialising in agriculture in Romania, and currently about 30% of our loan portfolio is directed to this segment.

The Bank currently has a network of 27 branches and agencies, mainly located in the south of Romania, serving a wide range of customers operating in areas such as cereals, vegetables and livestock. Branches in major cities such as Timişoara, Constanţa and Bucharest also serve agricultural customers in the surrounding areas.

"The services we offer are specially designed to help farmers to better meet their financial needs. At ProCredit Bank, they can access financing with various repayment options: for example, if the specific loan purpose requires it, there is the possibility of making seasonal payments at harvest time and a grace period in months with low activity. In addition, we have a dedicated team of client advisers who understand the particularities of agriculture and are able to provide customers with the proper solutions for them."
