ProCredit Bank announces a net profit of EUR 2,017,175 in 2013

ProCredit Bank, the only Romanian bank 100% owned by German shareholders, recorded a net profit of EUR 2,017,175 in 2013 according to the audited financial data – demonstrating significant growth compared to the 2012 result of EUR 498,268. The Bank’s assets grew by 13% compared to the previous year, reaching a level of EUR 308 million. The capital ratio also improved, and stood at 16.59% at the end of the year, an extremely comfortable level compared to the minimum required by law.

 

At the end of 2013, the bank had an outstanding loan portfolio of EUR 241 million and customer funds of EUR 198 million; 12% and 18% higher than the previous year respectively. The majority of ProCredit Bank’s loan portfolio is financed from customer deposits, the coverage degree being over 82%.

 

In its financing operations, ProCredit Bank concentrates on its core customer category, SMEs, which is mirrored in the structure of the outstanding loan portfolio, with 67% of loans being granted to such customers. We focus on development-oriented financing because we strongly believe that we can contribute to local economic development by supporting local entrepreneurs. Furthermore, the results obtained in this field have helped us to conclude partnerships with the European Investment Fund, enabling us to grant preferential loans to SME’s through the JEREMIE and EU Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programmes.

 

Major growth was also recorded in the volume of transactions, which reached EUR 1.2 billion last year, up from EUR 1 billion in 2012. 42% of transactions are now carried out via our new Internet Banking platform.
