ProCredit Bank General Manager receives Banker of the Year award

Ilinca Rosetti, General Manager of ProCredit Bank, has received the 2014 Banker of the Year award at the Piata Financiara Gala Awards on 10 December.

“The Banker of the Year award is a great honour for ProCredit Bank Romania and, although it was awarded to me, I see it as an achievement for the whole institution. As you know, ProCredit Bank is focused on providing the best service to a very important segment of the Romanian economy: small and medium-sized companies”, said Ms Rosetti upon receiving the award. “The award also obliges us to maintain the high standards we have shown that we can provide. I would therefore like to share this award with all of my colleagues from ProCredit and thank them for their contribution.”

The 19th Piata Financiara Gala Award was organised by Piata Financiara magazine and was hosted by the National Bank of Romania.

ProCredit Bank Romania was founded in 2002 and remains a reliable and responsible banking partner. In recent years, the bank has seen its deposits grow and has increased the number of loans to very small, small and medium-sized enterprises. With growth of 12.5%, ProCredit Bank’s loan portfolio is bucking the trend in the banking sector, which actually fell by 2.5% on average (data from 30 September 2014). Our knowledge of the Romanian economy and our responsible approach to issuing loans means that ProCredit’s non-performing loans stand at only 4.61%, which is much better than the overall banking sector rate of 15.33%. The bank will continue to strengthen its customer base, especially among very small and small businesses, and aims to remain the first choice for long-term banking partnerships.
